Patricia Ann Roth devoted her life and career to nursing and nursing education. Born and raised in Ohio, Patricia attended Mary Manse College in Toledo, Ohio, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She later obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Arizona, and went on to achieve her Doctorate of Education from the University of Southern California.

Patricia then taught nursing at the University of Arizona, San Diego State University, and the University of San Diego (USD), where she pioneered USD’s nursing Ph.D. program.

After her death in 2022, the Patricia A Roth Foundation was established to continue Patricia’s lifelong work of advancing education for nurses. With your support, our goal is to advance the practice of nursing and improve the quality of healthcare for all by providing financial assistance to nurses who are eager to gain advanced knowledge and expertise in the science of nursing. Patricia’s legacy lives on through the nonprofit she inspired, allowing us to carry out her vision and continue her work.
